Doing Your Own SeaDek Like a Pro

Forum user ‘wilg’ sent in these photos that were also posted on the forum last week. He has ‘decked’ out his new skiff in custom SeaDek padding, but instead of getting it pre-cut from the factory, he did it all himself. This isn’t the first time he’s done it, though. If memory serves me right, he used to own a sweet center console Gheenoe LT25 that had some custom home-cut SeaDek aswell.

User ‘wilg’ starts off cutting the templates for his skiff, and then routes the edges of the padding with a Dewalt router and bit. Pretty slick! Also looks kind of messy, but with results like this I would definitely go for it too.

Check out the photos below. Awesome job!

You have done a great job. Is the DeWALT a router? Will need to try this.
