If you are local to East Central Florida and love fishing the rich lagoon ecosystems we have here, you need to voice your opinion on the new proposed Shiloh launch complex! Two public hearings will be held in Titusville and New Smyrna Beach by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) due to the Environmental Impact Study (EIS) they are conducting due to the proposed launch complex.
If you haven’t been keeping up on this, I posted about this here and here on this website earlier in 2013. Basically, a new commercial spaceport is trying to be built on the fragile lagoon ecosystem that is already in peril due to human runoff from surrounding cities and businesses.
Information on the two public hearing meetings in Titusville and New Smyrna Beach:
February 11, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the New Smyrna Beach High School Gymnasium, 1015 10th Street, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32168
February 12, 2014 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm, at the Eastern Florida State College, Titusville Campus, John Henry Jones Gymnatorium, 1311 North U.S. 1, Titusville, Florida 32796
Hope some of you can make it!
