Kingdom Boatworks has just launched in 2014 and has already posted photos of their first skiff model, the ‘Rook 16’. Kingdom Boatworks was founded by two guys, Matt and Rob, out of their passion for fishing skinny water- and probably dislike for their current jobs (just kidding, guys). To read more on them, check out the Kingdom Boatworks about page and there is a narrative all about the owners and their company.
The first skiff mentioned above, the Rook 16, is obviously a 16′ shallow water poling skiff that is going to make a big impact in my opinion. Not only due to the design of the hull, but due to the introductory package that Kingdom is offering. Here’s the specs on the Rook 16 from the Kingdom website:
Beam at Rubrail 72″
Waterline Beam – 52″
Transom – 15″
Max Hp – 30
Draft – 4-6″
What you don’t know about this hull, is that it was created by someone who is legendary in the early days of fly fishing the flats. If you want more details you can contact Kingdom Boatworks about that one…but what about the package I mentioned above? As an introductory offer, Kingdom Boatworks is offering an entire boat, motor, and trailer package with accessories for just $12,900! That’s a skiff, aluminum trailer, 25HP tiller motor, poling platform, Carbon Marine push pole, and more.
If that’s not a way to make an impact in the skiff market, I don’t know what is. Check out the Kingdom Boatworks contact page to get in touch with them.
